We would like to recognize the following employees and staff at Havre de Grace for their hard work and dedication.
The Criminal Investigations Division nominates PFC Matthew Brennan for Officer of the Quarter, for his hard work on a burglary case, which lead to the recovery of stolen property and a firearm.
A previous shift had handled a burglary, in which thousands of dollars of property had been stolen. PFC Brennan later responded to a nearby hotel and discovered security footage, which showed the suspect entering the location with the stolen property. Through assistance of outside law enforcement, the suspect was located and arrested. A subsequent search warrant was written by PFC Brennan, and served on the vehicle. This resulted in the recovery of additional items, as well as a loaded firearm.
PFC Brennan showed extraordinary initiative and was able to bring a close to the case. Additionally, having never written a search warrant, PFC Brennan quickly learned what he needed to do and took the initiative to write the warrant himself.
